Using wold-class 3d Scanning softwre tools, we can create history-based parametric CAD models, a simple solid using a mesh-to-surface converter, and even edit meshes. Additionally, history-based parametric CAD models can be exported to native CAD programs, such as SolidWorks, while maintaining each step in the modeling process, resulting in a feature-based native CAD model that is fully parametric and editable.
