A type of material extrusion additive manufacturing that uses glass filament as the build material. Instead of heating the material in a nozzle, a non-contacting laser heats the glass filament as it exits the nozzle to create a liquid that is deposited on the current build layer. The glass filaments can be customized to meet specific needs, and the laser intensity can be adjusted for optimal deposition and interlayer bonding. This technology is offered by Nobula 3D.
